Getting Started

I have spent significant time with the tutorial at

and am looking at the various websites found at
http://www.baylor.edu
but I'm still not able to resolve some of my issues.

In the end, I would just like to start out by creating a simple map of roads
& rivers through Glacier park.  Latter adding elevation and then linking in
my own GPS items.

Is there a good tutorial someplace that can walk me through a "getting
started with GRASS"?
