to different users of GRASS

Hi,

  Yesterday I installed Tcltkgrass in GRASS 4.2. and tried to start 
it with the command tcltkgrass & . It failed to start the GUI and 
gave the following errors.

Application initialisation failed: no display name and no $display 
environment variable

Error in startup script: invalid command name bind

while executing "bind balloon<enter> { set balloon Help (%W,after)
[after 400 {update Balloon Help%W}]}"
(procedure "BalloonInit" line2)
invoked from within 
"BalloonInit"
(file "usr/local/grass42/tcltkgrass/main/gui.tcl  line 1307

Can anyone tell me how to correct this problem?
