r3.* on Solaris7/Linux for SPARC

Hi GRASSusers,
Since I was not able to compile NVIZ2.2 and r3.* commands under IRIX 6.5, 
I am planning to compile these modules under Solaris7 on SPARC, or LINUX
LRH for SPARC. I am particularly interested in modules mentioned
above.
Did somebody compile these modules under Solaris 7 on SPARC, or LINUX LRH*
for SPARC? I would like to know this, before I remove Solaris7 from my
ULTRA1 box. I will be lucky to share experiences, from process mentioned
above.
