You can use "nviz2.2" (image dump function). Currently it writes SGI image
format which can be read and converted by "xv" (a famous viewer).
The next release of GRASS 5 (GRASS 5.0 stable, coming soon) will include
an updated NVIZ which
- runs with tcl/tk8.3 libs (SuSe 7 etc.)
- exports in SGI, PPM and TIF format
The GRASS 5/CVS version already contains these updates.
