  I don't have a copy of libncurses.so.5 to copy. :-) But, I should be able
to install it in addition to the earlier versions. Theoretically, at least.

  What I read in the post to which I responded, was that the ncurses.so.5 file
was renamed to libncurses.so.5 and that made the difference.

  Anyway, it's more of an annoying delay than a major problem -- I hope! :-)
