[GRASSLIST:2007] ll projection

Dear all,
I am using ll projection for my mapset. It is just like Cartesian
projection and thus my map is distorted. I changed the spacing
(g.region)
so that latitude spacing is equal to 
1/cos(central latitude of my map) x longitude spacing
but then it reduces the number of column making no difference.
I appreciate any suggestion very much
