[GRASSLIST:4281] Elevation data in Lines

Hi,

we are digitizing walking lines in grass successfully with "v.digit". 
After that we do an "v.out.shape" do get these lines into a 
postgis-database.

Now we got elevation data in sites-format. We can import the information 
and interpolate raster-data from that.

Is it now possible to provide our vector data with the corresponding 
elevation data from the raster or sites-file?
