[GRASSLIST:5241] Grass 5.1 (r.cost)

Hi,

If I remember right some time ago there was a report on the progress of 
Grass 5.1 in which it was mentioned that r.cost is working much faster. 
Would it be possible to add it in the Grass 5.0.0 and how would this be 
done?
