Normal, it's an ESRI log file. You don't need that ;-)

sta = statistic table : you can recompute it with grass...
(min, max, mean values, etc)

First time I found that... (vat = visual attribute table ???).
maybe you can send me this part of your file, and I will try to
upgrade m.in.e00 so it will create a category file with vat table...

Or send me the whole file (compressed with gzip or bzip2) if you can;
it will probably be easier for testing.
