[GRASSLIST:4083] Postgresql misery

This is a new setup, GRASS is not yet installed.
System is running a fresh install of Redhat 7.1.
For reasons unrelated to GRASS, I currently cannot upgrade to RH 7.3.
To save some work in the future, I would like to upgrade postgresql to 7.2.1 now, but this is what I get:

# rpm -Uvh /mnt/cdrom/RedHat/RPMS/postgresql-*
error: failed dependencies:
        libcrypto.so.2 is needed by postgresql-7.2.1-5
        libssl.so.2 is needed by postgresql-7.2.1-5
        libcrypto.so.2 is needed by postgresql-devel-7.2.1-5
        libreadline.so.4 is needed by postgresql-devel-7.2.1-5
        libssl.so.2 is needed by postgresql-devel-7.2.1-5
        libcrypto.so.2 is needed by postgresql-libs-7.2.1-5
        libssl.so.2 is needed by postgresql-libs-7.2.1-5
        libcrypto.so.2 is needed by postgresql-server-7.2.1-5
        libreadline.so.4 is needed by postgresql-server-7.2.1-5
        libssl.so.2 is needed by postgresql-server-7.2.1-5

The problem is that libcrypto.so.2, libreadline.so.4, and libssl.so.2 are not on the 7.3 CD's.
I found libreadline.so.4 using rpmfind, but for the others, rpmfind says:

# rpmfind libcrypto.so.2
Cannot install or locate resource libcrypto.so.2
Do you want to search it in the catalog? [Y/n] : Y
Searching the RPM catalog for libcrypto.so.2 ...
Found 0 packages related to libcrypto.so.2
# rpmfind libssl.so.2
Cannot install or locate resource libssl.so.2
Do you want to search it in the catalog? [Y/n] : Y
Searching the RPM catalog for libssl.so.2 ...
Found 0 packages related to libssl.so.2

Since these files are not included with RH7.3, it follows that either they are not actually required or it is impossible to get a working postgresql installation from the RH 7.3 CD's.

Are they required or just good to have?
Where can they be found?
