[GRASSLIST:3908] v.in.sdts

I am finding that v.in.sdts dies upon encountering LDEF in the the LE module.
The messages is as follows:

Processing LE module: 9760LDEF.DDF Illegal Tag =  LDEF

Shortly after a series of messages about the illegal tag, a segmentation fault 
message displays.  Can anyone suggest a work-around?
