The name of font you use for ps.map labels, must be defined for interpreter
and font must contain characters you need.
for example:
text 10% 10% popis
font TimesNewRoman
size 10
end
I dont know if it is correct, but I define the font in
/usr/share/ghostscript/x.xx/lib/Fontmap:
/TimesNewRoman (mypath/myfont.pfb) ;
