RPMs for Mandrake 8.2 are available at

I haven't been able to update my urpmi hdlists, but you only need the
following files from my site to have grass working (the rest are in
Mandrake 8.2 or the contribs):

http://ranger.dnsalias.com/mandrake/mandrake8.2/grass/grass-5.0.0-1mdk.i586.rpm
http://ranger.dnsalias.com/mandrake/mandrake8.2/grass/libgd2-2.0.1-2mdk.i586.rpm
http://ranger.dnsalias.com/mandrake/mandrake8.2/grass/libgdal0-1.1.7-2mdk.i586.rpm

These RPMs are now compiled with gd2 for 24bit png support.

RPMS have also gone into the Mandrake cooker contribs, so Mandrake 9.0
will ship with Grass 5.0.0

Feedback welcome (especially in the next few days, so any issues can be
fixed before Mandrake 9.0 ships).
