[GRASSLIST:5440] v.trim?

I'm in the process of cleaning up some maps and found mention of the v.trim
command on page 140 of the Neteler and Mitasova book and couldn't find it in
the command help (using cygwin). Is there one or one planned and does
v.support simply get rid of overshoots and insert node as does v.spag (which
seemed to be stuck in a loop for this particular vector file)....
