[GRASSLIST:742] Vector to Raster Lakes

Hi folks,

You will be happy to know that my surface raster map is fine now.  Though I
am not sure what I did.

I am now trying to get the lakes onto the map.  I have a vector file.  I
suspect I have to convert it to a raster to make the entire lake surface
blue.  However, when I tried it, the entire map surface turned blue.
(v.to.rast that is).  How do I get the lakes surfaces blue, but leave the
rest of the surface as it is?
