[GRASSLIST:4180] r.proj leae to lat-lon trouble

Hi.

The next adventure is importing Lambert equal area data into a
latitude longitude location. I'm able to import the "leae" data
into a location of the same projection, and it looks OK.

However using r.proj to import the data into a lat-lon location
produces a map which looks not only rotated 90 degrees clockwise,
but was clearly projected with the real W edge interpreted as being
the N edge. The command line was as:

r.proj input=leaedata location=RAWDATA method=bilinear output=leaedatanew

As you can see, nothing fancy here.

Is this a common problem? Any easy generic solution? Aside from the
rotation and misprojection, the data look reasonable, if warped. :^)
