[GRASSLIST:2458] d.path

Please help me:
 
Hello dear list,
I'm working on an application that I want to find best
path between two points on a vector map, by use of
d.path.
But I want to specify "from" and "to" points with
giving their name ( I have a name column in my dbf)
for example: from x to y; Not by specifying points
with mouse.
Did someone work on this before?
Do you have any suggestion for me?
