[GRASSLIST:6323] an error in installation

hello

as i attempt to install grass6.0 it gives:

checking for curses.h... no
configure: error: *** Unable to locate curses includes.

here is the my conf. file :
../configure \
--without-fftw  \
--without-odbc \
--without-freetype \
--without-lapack \
--without-readline \
--with-tcltk-includes=/usr/include/ \
--with-tcltk-libs=/usr/lib/tcl8.4/ \
--with-postgres-includes=/usr/local/pgsql/include/ \
--with-postgres-libs=/usr/local/pgsql/lib/  \
--with-proj-libs=/usr/local/lib/ \
--with-opengl-libs=/usr/local/Mesa-6.0/lib/


where can I find curses.h ?
is this configuration ok ?
