[GRASSLIST:7877] Developing Geonet map place names in GRASS?

Hi there,

Thanks to the help of Markus Nettler I have succeded in importing the 
Geonet names into GRASS as a vector layer.

Now what do I do with it?

Any pointers to database attributes I need to specify?
I simply want o display my VMAP data with these names on top.
