Feng,

Go to CRAN (http://cran.r-project.org/) to the Newsletter section and 
get the Volume 5/1, May 2005 issue. There is an article on the new 
GRASS/R interface that's needed with R 2.1 & GRASS 6.x. Hope this helps.
