[GRASSLIST:7963] v.buffer

I notice that if I create a buffer around points with v.buffer in a  
lat-lon location, I get perfect circles.  I think something's wrong  
with that.  A circle with a fixed radius should appear as an oval  
anywhere on a lat-lon location (usually a Lambert cylindrical  
projection), except perhaps if it was on the equator.  Can anyone  
help me understand what's going on here?
