[GRASSLIST:9644] 3d lines and postgis

I am trying to get 3d lines into postgres but I am having some
difficultis. I import a 2d e00 roads file into grass and convert it to
3d using v.drape. All goes well. I export it as a shapefile. When I
try importing it into postgres using shp2pgsql it forces it into a 2d
geometry column. Is it losing the 3rd dimention when exported as a
shapefile or does postgis have trouble with 3d lines?

Any tips would be greatly appgreciated.
