Hi Michael.
I know of the EPSG list; it has been a relevant improvement. Its usage, 
however, can be improved. Currently, one has to look up the codes, choose the 
right one, remember it, and write it back to the appropriate field (on the 
previous window). This looks rather primitive, and I suspect (no TclTk 
knowlwdge, so I may be wrong) it should be easy to have a more standard 
behaviour (choose an item from a list, and the chosen value goes into the 
form).
The main problem I see is that the list is very long, and probably difficult 
to browse. So the new system used by qgis (as suggested by Markus) looks 
promising.
As for the help, please forgive me (I didn't notice it). I'll test it with 
students in the next weeks and I'll suggest improvements if necessary.
