[GRASSLIST:5628] compilation grass-6.0.0beta1 error on cygwin

Dear Hamish, thank for your reply and the binary. I did not find in on the
grass homepage, and tried out to compile the source code. The other reason
was that I will use a mysql database, and the module to connect grass with
mysql was not available in the binary distribution. I compiled the uniodbc
with success and thought that I can do with grass the same thing...

Ok, thanks a lot for the binary. One problem, which I had was that d.m does
not start due to the missing of libgrass_gis.dll and libgarass_l.dll. In the
folder H:\cygwin\usr\local\grass6.0.cvs-i686-pc-cygwin-12_01_2005\lib, files
like "libgrass_D.6.0.cvs.dll" [70 kb] and "libgrass_D.dll" [1 kb] are
present. I changed the name from libgrass_gis.6.0.cvs.dll to
libgrass_gis.dll and libgrass_l.6.0.cvs.dll to libgrass_l.dll, and the
display manager works fine. In this folder are many other files like these.
Should I have to do the same with the others?

(In case of errors please change into the directory with error and run
'make')


I have followed the suggestions, but it does not help. Many folder were
empty after make install. Is it a special cygwin problem?  I used CFLAGS="-g
-Wall" ./configure to configure and then just made and install.
