Maybe for Fedora users *currently*.
Why don't you simply ask the Fedora people to upgrade?
We are not responsible for the packages in Linux distros.
The interest of the GRASS Development Team is to provide GRASS
versions. The distro packaging is usually done by others.
As written earlier, in case of Suse 9.1 or Debian (or ...)
you can already have GRASS 6.0.0beta1.
