Hi all
After some changes I've built OSX bin of avcimport and e00conv. You
can download the zip file (460 kb) for testing at:
http://wwwamb.bologna.enea.it/forgrass/files/avce00_osx.zip
AVCE00 for OSX version 1.2.0
============================
Official site: http://avce00.maptools.org/
6 binaries:
avcdelete
avcexport
avcimport
avctest
e00conv
ex_avcwrite
e00conv uncompress an e00 compressed file.
avcimport converts e00 files to Arc/info coverage and the new file
created can be imported in Grass with v.in.e00 or v.in.ogr.
Install
-------
put 6 bin inside bin folder of grass60 and grass60cvs or wherewere
you want to use. Example in Grass:
grass60cvs.app/Contents/Resources/grass-6.0.cvs/bin
Use
---
Now it's possible to use v.in.e00 in Grass 6.
In GIS Manager select File->Import->Vector map->ESRI e00 format
In the window select your E00 file (ex. myfile.e00), the input type
(ex. point) and the name of new vector (ex. point_from_e00). Press
Run and you have imported your e00 file.
v.in.e00 is not complete and it's possible to have errors.
You have more controls via terminal for input type and layers
In grass terminal enter (example):
% avcimport /e00files/myfile.e00 /e00files/mynewcoverage
% v.in.ogr -o dsn=/e00files/mynewcoverage/ layer=LAB type=point
output=point_from_e00
More info at official site.
Info about v.in.ogr inside help docs.
