[GRASSLIST:5347] .lac noaa imagery

hi all,
does anyone know if there is anyway to import noaa12
imagery (.lac format) to use it in grass?
i tried to use r.in.gdal but it doesn't recognize the
gcp stored in the .lac file (and after that run
i.rectify)...
