[GRASSLIST:5437] vectoroverlay tutorial

I am looking at the vector overlya/clipping tutorial and I have a 
question, I am trying to combine vector maps in such a way that the 
logic goes like this:

Display vector features from map1 and map2, but not those features that 
appear on both map1 and map2.

Is this possible?
