GRASS 6.0.0 is not compatible with gcc 4.0. Please try the weekly
CVS snapshot of the (future) 6.0.1 bugfix version of GRASS:

Do let us know how you get on -- we need to know that 6.0.1 supports
gcc 4.0 before it is released.
