Yes.

Yet v.digit has two advantages missing in QGIS:

- it can also create new layers, not only edit existing,
- powerfull backdrop maps display based on d.rast, d.vect commands with all 
their options.

On the other hand QGIS has nice transparency feature for raster layers, 
usefull for digitizing.

That'd be great if v.digit could be fixed and extended to pan/zoom during
digitizing one day.

Or maybe QGIS Grass digitizing plugin to be extended for backdrop maps
display alike v.digit and creating new Grass vector layers?
