I came across a research project trying to implement postgis to work 
with GRASS 5.1 [http://www.scoda.unisannio.it/~antoniol/students/PostGrass]

With GRASS 6 is therenative postgis support?
What version of postgis does it support?
Will postgrass work with current versions of GRASS and POSTGIS?
