Hi, I'm trying to install grass-6.0 on on a Dell PowerEdge 2850,
installed with RedHat ES3, Update 3.
I successfully run ./configure
(CFLAGS="-g -Wall" ./configure
--with-postgres-includes=/usr/include/pgsql/server/ --with-motif
--without-blas --without-lapack --with-glw --with-dbm
--with-dbm-includes=/usr/include/gdbm --with-freetype
--with-freetype-includes=/usr/include/freetype2/ --without-readline
--without-fftw --with-proj --with-proj-libs=/usr/local/lib --with-cxx)
I successfully run make
and I can start (grassbin.i686-pc-linux-gnu/grass60) and define a mapset
and location.......
But most of the general command return a segmentation fault error.....
GRASS 6.0.0 (hydro3):/usr/local/src/grass-6.0.0 > g.region -p
ERROR: default region is invalid

I can also see that the general commands doesn't have the
option->description="The type of query" ;
changed to
option->description=-("The type of query" );
could it be the problem?
Any suggestion for resolve the problem is very very welcome......
Thanks,
Maxi
