I also have lots of Garmin files that I would like to easily import into
Grass. I made a copy of v.in.garmin.sh and are modifying it to take
GPS-files instead of directly from the port. I just got it working more or
less.
I have a few questions:
1) Hamish, Is it allright for me to modify the script? Should I contribute
the modified script back? Sorry I ask, I'm quite new at this.
2) The script expects 'UTC' somewhere in the header to break the line down
correctly ; my Garmin files don't have that. Should there be a UTC normally?
3) The main reason I want to use v.in.garmin.sh i sthat I want to recreate
Routes easily. If I would use v.in.ascii instead, how would I easily create
Routes from points? The solution I think of is makeing script that outputs
'L, n coordinates' and the coordinates.
Thanks,
-Jeroen.
