there could be 64bit fixes done after 6.0 was released. Try the 6.1-cvs
source code snapshot.

Long standing bug: try compiling with Tcl/Tk 8.3 development headers.

threading issue? At run time you can use TclTk 8.4's "wish", AFAIK.
