[GRASS-user] working with non-square cells

I was wondering,
lets say I have a raster (DEM, Image, whatever), in latlong, with square pixels.
if I want to work with a UTM region in mid-latitudes (say, 45deg), how
could I calculate the resultant pixel size before creating the new
region? because the UTM pixel in this latitude will be a rectangle,
elongated in the north-south direction.
thanks
carlos
