[GRASS-user] remove unnecessary nodes

I cant seem to locate a command that will remove unnecessary nodes.

I'm seeking to take a line network, and only have nodes where 3 arcs
meet.    if a line ends and connects to an other line, then i would like to
remove that node, and have it be one single line.

any way to do this?
