Thanks for the hint. Alas I cannot use this hack though as I do not
have an include/grass directory.  

The only directories I have in
/usr/local/src/grass61/grass-6.1.cvs_src_snapshot_2006_06_24/include
are 

CVS/ Make/ vect/

What then might be the problem beats the spam out of me!
