[GRASSLIST:10728] Monitor redesign, why not integrate with NVIZ?

Hi all,

During the last week or two there has been talk about redesigning the 
monitor programs to moderize and make managing the GUI and CLI easier.   
If the monitor drivers need a full re-write, would it be wise to 
integrate and merge it with NVIS and have only one monitor or 
visualization interface?  Since it looks like GRASS will eventually 
evolve from a 2.5D GIS to a full 3D GIS, why not only have one monitor?

If you have ever used BLENDER or even AutoCAD 2D or 3D is all on the 
same monitor?
