[GRASSLIST:452] Problem installing GRASS/R Interface..

Hi guys!
I am following the guide on: 
http://grass.itc.it/statsgrass/grass6_r_install.html

when i start it, got this error:

> library(spgrass6)
Loading required package: sp
Loading required package: maptools
Loading required package: foreign
Error: package 'sp' 0.8-4 is loaded, but >= 0.8.7 is required by 'maptools'
