[GRASS-user] how to clean vector file after reprojection

Hello,

I am trying to (inverse) project a vector file from an laea location to 
a lat-long location.

Here is what (an excerpt of) my source file looks like in v.digit:

However, after projection, some areas are not recognized as areas anymore:

I don't really see why as I don't see one-line nodes which would 
indicate an open boundary:

So, two questions:

1) What might be the problem with these areas ?

2) Which tool (v.clean ?) could I use to solve this ?
