I agree with Jarek.

Ubuntu has a really easy to use (and install) liveCD.

As for the GUI based tutorial, I am working on something like that,
but it's in Portuguese for now. I will translated it to English and
try to work on both versions at the same time. As soon as I have
something ready, I will post a download link here.
