Hello list

Currently I am using the last version of cygwin and grass6.2, I have been
user of GRASS since 1997. In the last times I found impressive improvements
on the graphic interfaces. In this version I found a new graphic map
monitor, called now "Map Display", with a bunch of icons with predefined
funcions on display and zooming, at the same time i can open the console and
run the " d.mon" command and use the old fashioned monitor graphics display.
Regarding the new graphic display, it is all nice, but I found it slower
than the former graphic interface, I would to suggest you to keep the
flexibility of the former monitors. In this new one i can not run automated
routines on displaying and zooming maps. At the same time I think it is a
bad idea to maintain both graphic interfaces. At the end I found your latest
development nice but i dropped it because of the reasons above described.

Best regards
