Thanks for the positive words on behalf of all of us working on this.

The cell values layer won't work currently because it depends on the  
region resolution matching the resolution of the raster map.

(Perhaps this could be changed???)

Because the display resolution stays constant (regardless of the  
underlying computational resolution) in order to render MUCH faster,  
this means that even if you zoom in to a few cells, d.rast.num thinks  
you have too many cells to display and won't work. I hope there is a  
way to get around this eventually.
