Then try with 6.4, however, after the symlink,
doing make in gui/wxpython/vdigit gives me:
gcc: OBJ.i686-pc-linux-gnu/cats.o: No such file or directory
gcc: OBJ.i686-pc-linux-gnu/digit.o: No such file or directory
gcc: OBJ.i686-pc-linux-gnu/driver.o: No such file or directory
gcc: OBJ.i686-pc-linux-gnu/grass6_wxvdigit_wrap.o: No such file or directory
gcc: OBJ.i686-pc-linux-gnu/line.o: No such file or directory
gcc: OBJ.i686-pc-linux-gnu/select.o: No such file or directory
gcc: OBJ.i686-pc-linux-gnu/vertex.o: No such file or directory
make: *** [OBJ.i686-pc-linux-gnu/_grass6_wxvdigit.so] Error 1

I also added /usr/local/lib/ in my ld.so.conf and then
ldconfig i get the same error!
