Hi,

I added to the wiki a mini-tutorial on how to import 4km AVHRR Pathfinder
Sea Surface Temperature satellite data:

It already joins mini how-tos for MODIS and SeaWiFS data. (and so that
page needs to be renamed something more generic or split up...)

NOAA's National Oceanographic Data Center's Satellite Oceanography Group
makes available via FTP daily->yearly data from 1985-2007(+?):
  http://www.nodc.noaa.gov/SatelliteData/pathfinder4km/
