[GRASS-user] How to specify a location using grass-6.4.x

Hi,
          I am trying to import a NASA SRTM file called N25E070.hgt.

What are the steps required to create a new location in grass-6.4.x,  
so that I can run the following command?

r.in.srtm in=N25E070
