[GRASS-user] Modifying the default region

Hi!

I've modified my PERMANENT/DEFAULT_WIND file to be:
proj:       3
zone:       0
north:      90N
south:      90S
east:       180W
west:       180E
cols:       1000
rows:       749
e-w resol:  0.08333333
n-s resol:  0.08333333
top:        1
bottom:     0
cols3:      10000
rows3:      7493
depths:     1
e-w resol3: 0.08333333
n-s resol3: 0.08333333
t-b resol:  1


but still I get:
GRASS > g.region -d
GRASS > g.region -p
projection: 3 (Latitude-Longitude)
zone:       0
datum:      wgs84
ellipsoid:  wgs84
north:      90N
south:      90S
west:       180E
east:       180E
nsres:      0:14:25.153538
ewres:      0:21:36
rows:       749
cols:       1000
cells:      749000

Why? is not PERMANENT/DEFAULT_WIND the file
that keeps the deafult region settings?

Alternatively, I've also made a correct region "buena",
how can I make "buena" become the default region?
