There is not. But this is a potentially useful script to be used  
within the display environment. However, in order to create the  
display you want to do it this way, you will need to use a mouse (drag  
a magnification up or down box). So it is not much effort to then pick  
the relevant menu item off the display.

A possibly more useful command line script would be to set the display  
to match the computational region.

You can always set the computational region from the command line  
using g.region of course.
