[GRASS-user] import GeoPDF into GRASS: projection and boundaries

Unfortunately GDAL does not recognize GeoPDF format:
gdalinfo in-geo.pdf
yields
ERROR 4: `in-geo.pdf` not recognized as a supported file format.
followed by a print-out of backtrace information.

Does GDAL support it even minimally?
ie does `gdalinfo` give the image bounds?
