[GRASS-user] Entering point data with SQLite

Hi

I am trying to add point data with SQLite without much success.

1.  Is it better to simply create a new table in your sqlite.db or should you create a separate database and use v.in.db?

2.  If you are using latitude and longitude coordinates, what is the best Field type to use?
I was using the degree minute second format dd:mm:ss.ssssW.  eg. 71:43:08.2W.  I concede that this may not be the best format.

There doesn't seem to be a lot of documentation on this part of database management for GRASS.

Also, I have been using SQLite Database Browser 1.3.  It doesn't place the rows of field names in the order they are created.  In fact there seems to be no order at all and no way to rearrange the order.

As always, any help will be greatly appreciated.
